What if Your Body Sent You Messages?

Don’t you just wish your body would send you a message like this – “I am about to get a disease.”    What if it already does and you just are not tuning in?

Our bodies send us messages everyday.  You know that ache you feel?  It is your body sending you a message that something is out of balance.  Think of the word dis-ease  meaning, “not – at ease” or “not – in balance”.

You know that day your stomach churned and you thought it was the flu?  Your body was sending you a message.

Our bodies are screaming messages everyday that we are ignoring.

Recently I spoke to someone who was not sure if she could continue working at her job with the same hours because of her pure exhaustion and aches.  She couldn’t even get her rings on because of swollen hands.  Her body was sending a message that something was out of balance.

After listening to her story during a health history I suggested she go wheat free.  Here is her response.

I went wheat free two weeks ago. I feel so much better! I have more energy and the swelling in my hands and face are gone! Lost 6 lbs so far! I will never go back.

I continue to receive amazing updates from her as she is listening to her body.

There is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all diet because each of us is different.  Some people can eat wheat without any problems, and for others it is a trigger.

How do you know what is right for you?

  • Start noticing how you feel after you eat.  Don’t judge what you eat, just notice how you feel after a meal.
  • Learn about how your body works.  This short 10 minute video is worth every bit of your time.  Trust me – I have watched it more than once!  So many people don’t want to hear about how food impacts our body, yet they haven’t taken the time to know how our bodies work.  This video is short, so no excuses.  ; )
  • Listen to your body’s messages.  If something aches, swells, hurts, make a note of it.  Gradually you will begin to connect the dots and find the why.
  • Love yourself enough to know that making changes is worth it.  You deserve to feel better and know it is possible to feel good!

Our bodies are a power house and do not pull any surprises on us, if we are listening.

Why does this matter?  Because as a parent, who wants to be sick?  And who wants to be feeding your growing kids foods that could set their bodies up for health problems later in life?
