healthy school lunch ideas

lunch ideas – make it fun!

Packing lunchboxes for my boys to take to school takes a few minutes in the morning, but it is definitely worth it!

To get great lunch ideas for your kids think small portions, finger food and FUN!

Here is a picture of our spiders and ants lunch.
Super simple, yet very fun.

Look closely to see yogurt for calcium and healthy probiotics, peanut butter for protein and fats, celery and tomatoes for veggies and gluten-free pretzels just for fun.

A word of caution, don’t pack too much peanut butter as it can get runny can turn into a mess!

Here is another kids lunch idea, take silicon muffin cups and fill them with various items.  This gives the lunch “shape” and keeps things in their place.

These hearts are holding dill cheese curds and my very own peanut bar creation!  Lettuce is tucked around the outside.

Lunches do not have to be huge and elaborate.  In fact I have found that it is better to have a lunchbox on the small side than overflow it.  When there is too much food in the lunchbox, ironically my boys don’t eat as much.

What great ideas for kids lunches do you have?  Feel free to share in the comment section.

Happy creating!
